Hey improvement squad,
Many of you have been eagerly waiting and I am happy to announce:
Part three for the Myers Briggs series, Maximizing Your Type, is finally ready and will be published tomorrow.
Some long time or particularly attentive readers may be asking “wait, wasn’t Typing Yourself Properly supposed to be Part Three and Maximizing Your Type Part Four?”
Yes, you are correct. I decided to swap them because:
A) Most of you are typed correctly, so a piece on Typing Yourself Properly won’t be particularly helpful.
B) Most of the value from Myers Briggs comes from learning how to effectively use your personality, Making Maximizing Your Type very helpful, and making publishing it the top priority.
C) While I find correcting typing errors in any given individual rather trivial, writing down a “universal” piece that can teach you how to do it yourself—without belaboring you with excess detail you don’t care about—is proving far more difficult.
D) Most who are typed incorrectly probably won’t know or care to figure it out anyway until after they’ve read Maximizing Your Type and find that it’s not working.
So, in the meantime: If you find you’re struggling to determine your type, feel free to DM or comment and I’d be happy to help!
That’s all for now. Take care.
-Matt
This makes me excited to read it for when it is out.
